At PRACE we run many different programs and courses.

  • English as a second language, and Adult literacy
  • Victorian Certificate of Applied Learning (VCAL)
  • Retail, Hospitality, Asset Maintenance (Cleaning Operations),
  • Information technology

VET Courses for Semester 1, 2012:

Don’t have your VCE or equivalent? Then you may be eligible for a government subsidised place in the following courses:

Generally our programs include these offerings:

  • English as a Second Language*: Day and evening classes, including the Adult Migrant English Program (AMEP 510 hours) and classes for long term residents
  • Adult Literacy Classes*: Aimed at people who were born in Australia but did not complete their schooling.

Learning Resources – on the web and in the classroom

We also develop learning materials, such as Page Turners and “English at the Beach“.

 

English as a Second Language Classes

PRACE offers English as a Second Language Classes to adult learners. Our small classes, with no more than 18 students in a class, offer a comfortable, supportive learning environment in a community setting.

Funding may be available through

  • the Adult Migrant English Programme (AMEP)
  • Adult Community & Further Education (ACFE) and the
  • Language Literacy and Numeracy Programme (LLNP).

There is also a small number of places for fee for service students.
