During Melbourne’s lockdown, our Community Connections learners have been missing being out in nature.
Earlier this month they had the opportunity to learn more about Health and Wellbeing in nature during an incursion with The Royal Botanical Gardens.
Through a playful exploration of Melbourne gardens, our learners were encouraged to see themselves as part of the natural world and consider how being in nature can contribute to positive emotional and physical wellbeing.
They learnt how to practice mindfulness and nurture greater awareness of themselves and others as they experience the effect of tuning in to nature.
From the reflections shared by our learners, the incursion had a big impact.
Thank you to The Royal Botanical Gardens for bringing us such an engaging incursion.
