Last Thursday, PRACE College students gathered with their families in the Merrilands Community Centre hall to celebrate their many achievements at the end of a very busy and productive school year.
Jane Davey, Youth Programs Manager, spoke about the amazing effort she had seen in the students during the year and their many accomplishments.
We were treated to a slideshow of the activities and projects the students had engaged in over the year–there were so many!
And we are thrilled to announce that the students raised a whopping $6,000 through their fundraising efforts. Each week the students ran a gift market, which sold their hand-made products, and worked in the PRACE canteen selling barista coffees and sweet and savoury treats they had prepared. A range of charities have benefited from their hard work. These include World Wildlife Fund, Solar Buddy, Indigenous Literacy Foundation and Kids Under Cover.
The ceremony was followed by a graduation dinner at St Georges Restaurant.
We applaud the PRACE College class of 2019.
We are so very proud of all you have accomplished and wish you every success in the future.
