Cafe Connect: Customer and Workplace Skills

Certificate II in Skills for Work and Vocational Pathways FSK20119 (Partial Completion)

Join our hands on, entry-level program designed for young people aged 15–25, who are ready to build real-world skills for customer service and hospitality roles, while improving their literacy and numeracy.

Delivered in a fun, supportive environment, this short course
combines nationally recognised units with non-accredited barista training to give you skills that employers value.

You will gain practical experience in communication, teamwork, food safety, workplace safety and customer engagement as well as language, literacy and numeracy skills specific to hospitality, including working with measurements, numbers and money and enhanced verbal communication skills.

Entry Requirements

To be eligible for SEE you need to be:

  • an Australian citizen, or a permanent visa holder, or
  • on a provisional or temporary visa with working rights and eligible for the Adult Migrant English Program (AMEP), or
  • a Pacific Australian Labour Mobility visa holder; and
  • aged 15 years and over and with an approved exit letter from school.

    This course is funded through the Skills for Education and Employment (SEE) Program. The SEE Program is designed to help you feel confident, capable and ready for new opportunities.

  • Prerequisites and eligibility

    To be eligible for SEE you need to be:

    • an Australian citizen, or a permanent visa holder, or
    • on a provisional or temporary visa with working rights and eligible for the Adult Migrant English Program (AMEP), or
    • a Pacific Australian Labour Mobility visa holder; and
    • aged 15 years and over and with an approved exit letter from school.
