On Tuesday, 11th December Assunta’s Preliminary English and Marina’s Course in EAL students had an excursion to the city. They caught the train and headed to Flinders Station. From there they walked around Federation Square looking at all the Christmas decorations and trying to recall the names of each Christmas symbol from their previous lessons. They then joined the queue to see the Myer windows interpretation of Alice in Wonderland. For lunch students further practised their English skills by purchasing coffees and meals. Before heading back to school they stopped to see the clock in Melbourne Central and listen to Waltzing Matilda.
A big thank you to Assunta, Marina, Mel and Ted for making the day such a memorable one for the students.
