COVID-19 Information

The latest information for the Prace community about our response to the COVID-19 pandemic

As the COVID-19 pandemic situation continues to evolve, Prace remains committed to supporting our vibrant and diverse community of students, staff, volunteers and community groups. An overview of the latest information on our courses, programs and services is listed below. If you are unable to find the answer you are looking for, please contact the office on 9462 6077.

Courses, programs and services

Over the last two years of the pandemic, we have learned a lot about how you learn best and how we can support you in your studies. We are delivering the majority of our courses, programs and services face-to-face. However, we will retain a mix of delivery modes for some courses to best meet the needs of our community.

Keeping Prace COVIDSafe

We continue to adhere to our rigorous COVIDSafe practices and protocols. To help keep Prace COVIDSafe, we continue to provide:

  • Easy access to hand hygiene
  • Rooms are supplied with air purifiers
  • Regular surface cleaning
  • Regular cleaning and disinfection
  • Air conditioning units utilising fresh air not recirculated air

Our COVIDSafe plan is continually updated in accordance with any changing advice from the Victorian State Government.

There are many ways you can support our plan and help keep Prace COVIDSafe.

Face masks

As per Department of Health recommendations, face masks should be worn by a person who has COVID-19, for at least 7 days after a positive test, when they need to leave home.

In addition, students and staff, who wish to wear a face mask at Prace, are supported to do so. Prace will continue to make face masks available to staff, students and visitors.

Wearing a face mask can help protect you and those around you. Face masks stop droplets spreading when you talk, cough, sneeze and laugh, which lowers your chance of spreading or catching the virus. This information is especially important for those who are medically at risk.

Information about face masks can be found here.

If you are unwell

As per Department of Education and Training advice, it is strongly recommended that:

  • Any person who has tested positive for COVID-19 should stay home and isolate for 5 days and not return to onsite work or study until they are no longer symptomatic.

The Department of Health recommends that a person who tests positive for COVID-19 inform those with whom they have recently been in contact, including their workplace or place of study and household.

If you are feeling unwell, DO NOT attend Prace – instead, stay home, seek medical advice and consider getting a COVID-19 test. COVID-19 symptoms are listed on the Victoria Government Department of Health website.
