COVID-19 Information

The latest information for the Prace community about our response to the COVID-19 pandemic

Prace is home to a vibrant and diverse community and we are looking forward to welcoming you back and seeing you all face to face again. As Victoria moves through the stages of the COVID-19 roadmap we will keep you up to date with our service delivery and what we’re doing to keep Prace COVID Safe.

Courses, programs and services

A number of courses and services have resumed on site in 2021. However, some training will continues to be delivered remotely to reduce overall numbers at our training sites. To check the location and delivery mode of a class, visit our Courses page or call the office on 9462 6077

Classes have resumed with a component of face to face learning for the remainder of term 4. Hands on, skills based training will commence face to face training as scheduled.

Keeping Prace COVIDSafe

As we begin to welcome back staff and students back to Prace, we have implemented rigorous COVIDSafe practices and protocols. Our COVIDSafe plan will continue to be updated in accordance with any changes to restrictions in Victoria.

To help keep Prace COVIDSafe, we are taking steps to provide:

  • Easy access to hand hygiene
  • Regular surface cleaning
  • Regular cleaning and disinfection
  • Outdoor air ventilation in rooms with windows
  • Air conditioning units utilising fresh air not recirculated air

There are many ways you can support our plan and help keep Prace COVIDSafe.

Wear a face mask

Face masks continue to be required indoors at Prace. Face masks are also required if travelling on public transport, including to and from Prace. Face masks continue to be mandatory in other settings in Victoria. Information about face masks can be found here.

Check in when you arrive

Every time you enter a building at Prace, you must check-in using the Service Victoria QR code displayed at the entrance to the building. This is a critical part of Victorian Government contact tracing efforts.

Follow the health advice

  • Follow all safety signage, including maximum room capacity limits and building access restrictions
  • Maintain physical distancing
  • Keep good hygiene, washing your hands often with soap and water, use alcohol-based hand sanitisers, avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth.

If you are unwell

If you are feeling unwell, DO NOT attend Prace – instead, stay home, seek medical advice and consider getting a COVID-19 test. COVID-19 symptoms are listed on the Victoria Government Department of Health website.

Vaccination requirements for students and staff attending Prace

As an operator of a neighbourhood house and an educational facility which includes a registered school, Prace is required to comply with the directive of the Victorian Chief Health Officer which means that all Prace staff who work onsite must be fully vaccinated.

Adult education students who return for face to face learning are required to be fully vaccinated and provide an Australian Government Covid Certificate. Students who require assistance to link their certificate to a mobile device can access a free support session with the FAAS team. Bookings can be made online or by calling 9462 6077 or email the service on faasprace@gmail.com
