Course Description:

Develop an understanding of working in the Food Processing industry while building your literacy and numeracy skills. Learn the most relevant terminology relating to products and processes while developing your visual accuracy and communication skills for use in the workplace.

• Gain relevant literacy and numeracy skills

• Develop an understanding of Food Handling and Occupational Health & Safety

• Industry guest speaker

• Visit an industry workplace

Pathway: Employment in a factory or manufacturing environment.  Further study in Certificate I or II in Food Processing

Learn essential jobseeker skills in a small and friendly
group setting.

This course will guide you through:
• Applying for jobs online
• Tailoring cover letters and resumes
• Composing professional emails for job applications
• Developing your interview & presentation skills
• Building your confidence and personal effectiveness
• Identifying transferrable skills
• Applying the “8 Step—Job Search Approach”
• Practicing Interviews

volunteer work and further education or training.
