Description:
A pre-accredited program for people with mild intellectual or learning difficulties. The program will develop  literacy,  numeracy, employability and life skills  through a range of activities and experiences.

The content will incorporate:

  • real life texts – signs, forms, shopping, etc. and hands-on multi sensory activities to assist with learning.
  • activities that benefit visual spatial learners, tactile learners and kinaesthetic learners – based on touch, sight and even smell.
Pathway: Participants will be assisted to explore further learning and work/volunteer opportunities.  Learning pathways include Certificate I in Transition Education, Certificate I in Work Education and further pre-accredited study based on skill/interest of participant.
Location Merrilands Community Centre
Mode of Study Classroom based with guest speakers and off-site excursions.

Time 9.30 am—3.30 pm
Date Term 1:  29 January — 2 April, 2019

Duration Term 1: 10 weeks

(no classes on school or public holidays)

Cost Concession: $50, Full: $64
