PRACE Community Update COVID-19
Posted March 23, 2020
Last night the Victorian government announced further measures to combat the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19), including bringing forward the end of the school term. We are working with our students regarding the impact of this, and social distancing requirements, on their participation in our adult education courses. This includes trialling online learning with our PRACE College school students. We thank you for your patience as we navigate these rapid changes. Our team is working incredibly hard to ensure we support our staff and students in the best possible way we can. Teachers have begun rolling out remote learning solutions and we will continue to refine them.
PRACE staff remain in contact with the relevant government authorities and the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) and we will continue to take their advice during this unprecedented period. Planning for Term two continues, however we remain flexible as the situation evolves.
As we enter a period where many people in our community will be physically isolated, the team at PRACE have introduced a new social initiative. Our staff and students have been invited to join a closed Facebook group to help keep our community connected. We will be sharing more details about this group and extending the invitation to our broader community in the next few days.
PRACE remains open for business and we can be contacted through Facebook or by phone 9462 6077.
We urge you to take care of yourselves and each other during this challenging time. And please, reach out when you need support.
