Life Saving Victoria has been visiting Prace for many years – delivering Beach Safety and Meet The Lifeguard programs to our English as an Additional Language students.
This year we have been working with Life Saving Victoria to help to inform a new educational opportunity – to create new experiences and program offerings for people with cognitive disabilities.
During 2020, Ramzi and Michael have been consulting with Prace teacher Tina and her Community Connections class. And, last week they dropped by on Zoom in the lead up to the groups’ beach visit. They talked about what to expect and build a connection with the group, indicative of the people-centered approach they have taken with the project.
It’s been a privilege to have played a role in shaping this educational offering for future groups and students. We look forward to seeing the programs further develop in 2021.
A special shout out to Tina, for being responsive, flexible and generous in sharing her knowledge and expertise
