On Thursday 15th November our EAL students enjoyed a day of fun and interactive outdoor learning at Preston Market.
Our EAL teachers added an extra element of excitement to this outing by creating a Preston Market scavenger hunt. This activity saw our students happily racing around the market in search of iconic items. Students took the opportunity to practice their English by buying coffees and takeaway food, as well as doing some grocery shopping.
It was terrific to see our students so eager to interact with staff, volunteers and each other during this excursion. The social and cultural benefits, as well as the confidence gained, made it a fantastic day out.
We thank Mel, Cuc and Benjamin, our PRACE volunteers, who assisted with this event and our amazing EAL teachers Assunta and Marina for organising this innovative school outing.
