POSITIONS: Reconnect Program Worker
Reconnect Senior Program Worker
PROGRAM: Skills First Reconnect Program
The Reconnect Grants Program is part of the Victorian Government’s Back to Work Scheme and gives those aged 17-64 access to the wrap-around services they need to be able to re-engage and succeed in further education and training. A recent extension to the Reconnect program will support a further 3,300 students across the state. The scheme is designed to help unemployed people, retrenched workers, out-of-trade apprentices and people looking for work longer than 12 months back into education. Early school leavers in particular often face multiple barriers in remaining in training and transitioning to the workforce or further training, and are at risk of remaining disengaged unless they can access targeted services that successfully support them back into education, training or employment. It will be the responsibility of the Reconnect Program Worker and Senior Program Worker to facilitate the delivery of education outcomes to high-needs learners referred to the program.
QUALIFICATION/S OR RELEVANT EXPERIENCE: Tertiary qualifications in the community, employment, welfare and/or education sectors with subsequent relevant experience.
