SEEKING: Sessional trainer for Event Planning (‘Connecting the Community’ Program)

PRACE is a not-for-profit adult education provider and charity situated in the northern suburbs of Melbourne

We are currently seeking applications for the following position for 2017 delivery:

  • Sessional trainer: Event Planning (‘Connecting the Community’ Program)
  • 1 day per week (Monday) – 9.30am to 2.30pm
  • Commencing October 2017 (Fixed Term October – December)

Essential:

  • Relevant industry qualifications / experience demonstrating competency skills and knowledge in teaching event planning and management for small projects
  • Sound knowledge of identifying, resourcing and promoting events and activities
  • Strong planning, organisational, time management and problem solving skills
  • IT skills sufficient to deliver basic IT training
  • Experience teaching flexible and inclusive curriculum that meets a range of student learning styles and needs in a community setting
  • Demonstrated ability to follow complex administrative systems and meet deadlines
  • Experience working with disadvantaged and / or disengaged learners

Desirable:

  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE) or equivalent
  • Certificate in First Aid

Conditions include:

  • Police Check (mandatory)
  • Working with Children’s Check (mandatory)
  • 3 month probation
  • Salary Packaging available
