Seeking – VET Coordinator

Prace is seeking a VET Coordinator to join our dedicated team. Applications close – 5pm Sunday March 26th 2023

Prace provides supportive, flexible and inclusive adult education courses to meet the needs of the community, and to support people to participate in learning, community and work activities.

We are seeking a VET Coordinator to coordinate new course delivery for the

• Certificate III in School Based Education Support, and in the future
• Certificate II in Skills for Work and Vocational Pathways

We are a not-for-profit organisation seeking to change lives through education.

Selection Criteria

Essential:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification/s
  • Extensive teaching and/or coordinating accredited courses, preferably in a community setting.
  • Strong understanding of the Australian training sector, including funding and compliance
  • Ability to use relevant computer packages such as Microsoft Office and Google Suite
  • Strong course coordination skills
    • Set priorities, manage own time, and organise own work within agreed timelines.
    • Strong planning capabilities
    • Achieve objectives within set time frames and budgets.
  • Strong interpersonal skills
    • Ability to engage with potential students, students, partners and referral agencies
    • Experience in supervision and performance management of teaching staff
    • Ability to lead by example by acting with a high degree of professionalism.
    • Ability to work independently and in teams groups.

Preferable:

  • Teaching or education support experience in Australian schools
