Seeking – Youth Worker

Prace College is seeking an experienced & dedicated Youth Worker to work across two campuses – Reservoir and Mernda

You will be part of a dynamic team passionate about helping students to achieve their goals through education. The role requires dedicated professionals to maximise student engagement and learning outcomes.

Prace College provides supportive, flexible and inclusive education to meet the needs of young people within the community, and supports them to participate in learning, community and work activities. We are a not-for-profit organisation. 

Qualifications and experience

  • Certificate IV in Youth Work or above and experience with young people, preferably in a community educational setting.

Selection Criteria

  • Certificate IV or above in Youth Work, or equivalent
  • Understanding of contemporary issues and challenges facing marginalised young people
  • An understanding of how to effectively support the individual well-being, academic and vocational needs of students
  • Relevant practical experience in providing extra –curricula activities to marginalised young people;
  • Demonstrated ability to work successfully in a small team and within an organisation’s philosophy and values.
