Taking Learning Outside of the Classroom

Posted December 3, 2019

During the warmer months our teachers take advantage of the good weather by booking in excursions to introduce students to our local community.

Recently our Certificate I in EAL class went on a multi-stop excursion that included a tour of Reservoir Leisure Centre and a leisurely walk and afternoon tea on the Merri Creek Trail.

These students now have an idea of what the local leisure centre has to offer and are more familiar with our beautiful local parklands.

While chatting over Syrian coffee and biscuits, these students all agreed on one thing – there is much to be gained by taking education out of the classroom!

This group, and all of our EAL students, can look forward to more opportunities like this while studying at PRACE in 2020.
