Last week our level II EAL class got to taste some world class recipes… made by their own classmates.
The class is very diverse with students from Africa, Asia and Europe. At first sight they may appear to have very little in common, but food is one the best ways to bring people together.
The level II EAL students did class presentations on how to make a dish from their culture first and then they got to enjoy the dishes they created together. There was Baklava cake, Lebanese cream slice (Ayesh el Saraya), Greek Feta Salad, Olivier Salad, Tuna sandwich and more. It was a wonderful opportunity to come together, learn about another’s culture and feel at home.
