10 years of Reconnect at Prace
This July, Reconnect proudly celebrates 10 years of delivering the Reconnect program at Prace, supporting young people and adults across Melbourne’s north to re-engage with education, training, and employment opportunities.
Since launching at Prace in 2016, Reconnect has supported hundreds of people to overcome barriers and take positive steps towards their future.
Over the past decade, 540 participants have registered with the program, while 964 individuals have engaged with the service, demonstrating the program’s broad reach and lasting impact across the community.
Reconnect provides tailored, one-on-one support for people facing a range of complex challenges, including extended time away from education, involvement with the youth justice system, experiences of out-of-home care, and seeking asylum. The program helps participants identify their goals, overcome obstacles, and access pathways that meet their needs.
As of 2026, Reconnect supports individuals across Darebin, Whittlesea, Hume, Merri-bek, and Mitchell Shire, including Wallan, Beveridge, and Kilmore, ensuring more people can access the support they need close to home.
As we celebrate this significant milestone, we recognise not only a decade of Reconnect at Prace, but also the achievements of the hundreds of individuals who have taken important steps towards their education, training and employment goals with the support of the Reconnect team.
We extend our sincere thanks to the dedicated Reconnect team for their commitment, compassion, and hard work over the past decade. Their dedication continues to make a lasting difference in the lives of many across our community in Melbourne’s northern growth corridor.
