Forms & Advocacy Assist Service
In partnership with La Trobe University, we offer a free form filling and advocacy service to the local community. The service provides support to individuals who need help filling out a form or advice on how to go about it.
Services
The service can help with:
- Centrelink – various forms
- Housing and Lease agreements
- Family violence/Personal Safety Intervention Order Applications
- Rebates
- Citizenship applications
- Superannuation
- Identity documents
- Fines
- Statutory Declarations
The service also offers advocacy in a range of areas such as housing, complaints and job agencies.
Please note FAAS is not a legal service.
Eligibility criteria
To ensure that our service provides impactful, localised assistance, the following eligibility criteria apply. To access the service, clients must either live, work or study in:
- the City of Darebin, Whittlesea or Banyule; or
- be connected to a Prace service.
The weekly service is delivered by La Trobe University students by appointment on Thursdays at Merrilands Community Centre, Reservoir.
Please note our FAAS service will be on pause for a short period. The last clinic day will be 28 May, and services will resume on 16 July.
