At Prace, we deliver a range of high quality, skills based programs and accredited training across the northern suburbs of Melbourne. We support people to move into higher levels of education or develop the skills and capabilities they need to improve employment prospects and workplace opportunities. We ensure our programs our supportive, flexible and inclusive through:
- Our training is delivered in a caring, community based environment
- We can link students to literacy & numeracy support and welfare support
- We offer flexible delivery with a focus on learners’ needs
- We deliver quality training designed in consultation with industry

What is pre-accredited training?
Pre-accredited programs are courses designed for learners to gain the core skills and confidence they need to step back into education or employment. Pre-accredited courses are a great way for participants to get a “taste” of a particular vocation and create a pathway to accredited training.
Our courses fall under three program areas:
English language and adult literacy
Training in literacy skills or English as an Additional Language (EAL).
Vocational programs
Assisting people with the skills required start work, return to work or to change jobs.
Engagement programs
Engaging local people in adult education through basic skills programs.

Learn Local endorsed
Learn Locals are not-for-profit community organisations registered and funded by the Victorian Government. They provide low-cost courses for all Victorians. All of our pre-accredited programs are endorsed by Learn Local.
Program criteria and funding eligibility
Programs developed with Prace must meet the following criteria:
- Vocational intent (leading to increased skills, employment, further study or volunteering)
- Programs must include a minimum of 20 hours of training
- Minimum of 10 participants per program
