Barista & Cafe Operations

During this course, you will develop barista skills and the confidence to find work in this exciting and in-demand industry. You will learn how to brew shots, create the perfect crema and steam milk. To complement your barista skills, you will learn industry-specific OHS, interview preparation and interpersonal communication.

Learn in a friendly, supportive environment, and our small class sizes mean you receive personalised support and plenty of time to practise on the coffee machine.

Under the guidance of expert teachers, this course provides learners with:

  • Hands-on training in a cafe environment
  • Connections to industry representatives and employment opportunities
  • An understanding of workplace communication and conflict resolution
  • Resume and interview preparation skills
  • An overview of industry-specific OHS requirements

This course prepares participants for employment in the hospitality industry or further education pathways.

    Face to face and practical experience working with a commercial espresso machine plus off-site tasks/research/excursions

    Classes will not run on public or school holidays.

    Plus $10 Service & Amenities fee.

    Student to supply own apron.

    Training is delivered with Victorian and Commonwealth Government funding.
