We’re pleased to share that the Distress Support Service (DSS) will be collocating at Prace over the coming months as part of a trial partnership.

This new service will provide additional emotional and wellbeing support for our students and community members in a safe, welcoming and familiar environment right here at Prace. While this is initially a short-term trial, we will review the arrangement and consider a more permanent presence in the future.

When is the service available?

The Distress Support Service team will be onsite every second Tuesday from 1.00pm – 4.00pm on the following dates:

  • 17 February

  • 3 March

  • 17 March

  • 31 March

Where will the service be located?

  • Drop-in support: Student Lounge

  • Private appointments and discussions: Pod 1

You are welcome to visit during the drop-in session for a confidential conversation, or book a private appointment if you would prefer a more structured discussion.

How to sign up

There are two ways to access the service:

  1. Self-referral by email
    Email: DSSreferrals@ermha.org
When emailing, please mention that you are from Prace so the team can arrange an onsite session for you.

  2. Drop-in on the day
Visit the Student Lounge during the listed times and speak directly with the Distress Support Service staff.

This service is here to provide compassionate, practical support if you are feeling overwhelmed, distressed, or simply need someone to talk to. Seeking support is a positive step, and we encourage anyone who may benefit to make use of this opportunity.

If you would like more information, please speak with a Prace staff member.

We look forward to welcoming the Distress Support Service team to our campus and continuing to support the wellbeing of our learning community.
