We had an incredible time last week at the Learn Local Conference 2024! From showcasing our programs to connecting with leaders across the sector, it was a whirlwind of inspiration, ideas, and collaboration.
Our own Martha highlighted our Women in the Driver’s Seat program, which is currently running in Wallan. This initiative empowers women to gain independence and confidence behind the wheel, and it’s been amazing to see it take off in the community. The program’s success showcases the vital role we play in building practical skills and confidence.
Meanwhile, Lauren, alongside fellow Industry Practice Network coordinator Olivia, led several breakout sessions on the new and promising ACFE initiative, Industry Practice Networks. This initiative is designed to help Learn Locals strengthen their connections with industries and expand their impact in communities. Through these sessions, Lauren and Olivia guided attendees through strategies to forge meaningful industry partnerships, ensuring that Learn Locals can better align with local employment opportunities and skill needs.
The conference has been a fantastic opportunity to share ideas, gain insights, and foster collaboration. We’re excited to bring back what we’ve learned and continue growing our programs to serve our communities even better. Here’s to another year of learning, connecting, and inspiring change!
