Prace College is seeking a dedicated VCE Vocational Major & Vocational Pathways Certificate teacher to teach across two campuses – Reservoir and Mernda. This is a full-time, ongoing position.
You will be part of a dynamic team passionate about helping students to achieve their goals through education. The role requires a dedicated professional to maximise student engagement and learning outcomes.

About You
Qualifications and Registration
- Bachelor of Education or equivalent (essential)
- Minimum 1-2 years of teaching experience required
- VIT registration (essential)
- Candidates with VIT registration in progress are encouraged to apply
- VET teaching qualification: Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or willing to obtain TAESS00024 VET Delivered to School Students Teacher Enhancement Skill Set (essential)
- Masters in a complementary discipline such as Special Education, Psychology, Social Work (desirable)
- Experience teaching applied and/or integrated curriculum, and/or delivery of VCE Vocational Major and the Victorian Pathways Certificate (or other related curriculum, such as VCAL) (desirable)

Key Selection Criteria
- Proven ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide educational interventions for young people to enable them to develop learning for wellbeing and achieve educational success.
- Evidence of well-developed skills in teaching and learning, including the ability to select and use a wide range of teaching and assessment strategies appropriate to a diverse learner population, including a demonstrated capacity to integrate I.C.T. into teaching & learning practices.
- Demonstrated capacity to implement trauma informed practice, restorative justice principles and strategies with young people who may have existing barriers to education, including young people who identify as LGBTQIA+, from diverse cultural backgrounds, with learning disabilities, social emotional challenges and/or substance abuse.
- Extensive experience in successfully developing and delivering an engaging and integrated curriculum covering all strands of the curriculum, with the ability to apply this to the VCEVM and VPC certificates.
- Highly developed administrative and organisational skills, including a capacity to meet requirements of the relevant accredited courses, VCAA and VRQA school registration and VCE VM and VPC registration compliance requirements.
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills that demonstrate a capacity to effectively engage with staff, students, families, and support workers.
As part of Prace’s recruitment and selection process, applicants will be required to undergo a pre-employment safety screening process. Successful appointments to a position will be subject to, but not limited to, the following checks: National Police Check, VIT registration check, current and valid Driver’s Licence.
