Meet Min, our recent student teacher-turned-volunteer tutor!
We’re thrilled to introduce Min, who embarked on her Masters in TESOL at the University of Melbourne this year. During her practical placement here at Prace, Min worked closely with Christina Kingston, teaching the Course in EAL (English as an Additional Language). What made Min’s experience truly special was her ability to connect with a class predominantly consisting of native Chinese speakers, utilising her translating skills while honing her teaching expertise.
Min’s passion for teaching shone brightly as she found herself deeply engaged with the class. In fact, she loved it so much that she’s decided to stay on as a volunteer tutor with us! Not only that, but Min has her sights set on further academic endeavours, planning to enrol in a PhD course at the University of Melbourne in 2024.
This is a testament to the collaborative spirit within education. Here at Prace, we believe in nurturing learning experiences beyond the classroom, ensuring our students have opportunities to apply their knowledge in real-world settings. Min’s journey embodies this ethos, and we’re thrilled to have her continue making a difference within our community. Welcome, Min!
