Seeking – Barista and Café Operations Trainer/Teacher

• Teaching Tuesdays and Wednesdays 9.30am to 2.30pm

Prace is seeking an experienced Barista to teach our Barista and Café Operations course, located in Wallan. The course is fully planned, and session plans will be provided. Content includes:

Barista skills:
– coffee processing and storage
– learning to make espresso, latte, iced coffee, chai latte
– hygiene and OH&S
– care and preventative maintenance of machinery
– customer service, eg. taking orders, serving coffee, processing sales (POS)

Hospitality skills:
– cleaning premises and equipment
– developing front of house service skills
– serving food and beverages
– food storage and presentation

Navigating the work environment:
– teamwork
– communication
– conflict resolution
– active listening/giving and receiving feedback

As part of Prace’s recruitment and selection process, applicants will be required to undergo a pre-employment safety screening process.
