Meet Joanne

At Prace, we believe that learning is not just about acquiring skills—it’s about building connections, fostering community, and enriching lives. Joanne’s journey with us is a shining example of this philosophy in action.

Joanne first joined Prace in 2015, enrolling in our “Making Connections: Skills for Working and Living” program, specifically designed for people with mild intellectual or learning difficulties. This program became more than just a course for Joanne—it became the highlight of her week. The supportive environment, combined with the opportunity to learn and grow, sparked a passion for lifelong learning that continues to this day.

In 2018, Joanne completed the Certificate I in Transition Education, a significant milestone that marked her commitment to personal and educational growth. But Joanne didn’t stop there. Every semester, she continues to enrol in new courses, eager to expand her knowledge and engage with the Prace community.

For Joanne, the real draw isn’t just the courses themselves—it’s the people. “I love coming here and talking to people,” she says. Whether it’s chatting about the weekend footy or discussing the latest big musical in the city, Joanne thrives on the connections she makes at Prace. Her friendly nature and open-hearted approach have earned her many friends, and she looks forward to being part of this vibrant community each week.

Joanne’s story is a beautiful reminder of what makes Prace special. It’s not just about education; it’s about the relationships we build, the support we provide, and the sense of belonging we create. We are incredibly proud to have Joanne as part of our Prace family, and we can’t wait to see where her journey takes her next.

Keep shining, Joanne—you inspire us all! 🌟
