Over the last three weeks the Skills for Work & Study – Food Processing students have been going on a site visit to Foodfx, a Thomastown manufacturing company.
This has been a great opportunity to see the operations and systems they are learning about in the classroom and how they apply in the real world.
The students and teachers were taken on a very informative tour by Suresh, Senior Production Coordinator. Suresh showed them all aspects of food manufacturing: the receiving and storage of raw materials; food production, safety and hygiene practices; food handling policy; quality control; packaging; storage and finally, the finished product, ready for distribution all over Australia.
A huge thank you to Mohamed, General Manager and Suresh for supporting our students.
