Anniversary of the National Apology to Indigenous Australia

Yesterday marked the 11th Anniversary of the National Apology to the Stolen Generations and Indigenous Australia.

To honour this important historic occasion our  EAL students gathered to view  a video of the speech Prime Minister  Kevin Rudd delivered in parliament on that day  in 2008. Students then read indigenous poems and listened to indigenous songs, acknowledging the significance of this occasion in the process of healing the wounds of the past and continuing reconciliation.
