Yesterday evening our PRACE College students celebrated their hard work and achievements with a graduation ceremony at Darebin Town Hall. We were impressed to hear Jane Davey, PRACE College Assistant Principal, speak about the range of work and learning activities undertaken by these young people in just one calendar year. A highlight of the ceremony was when Sam Johnson from Love Your Sister Foundation was presented with a cheque for $5297. The students had fundraised all year for the charity, running a weekly gift market, which sold their hand-made products, and working in the PRACE canteen selling barista coffees and sweet and savoury treats they had prepared. What an amazing effort and equally amazing result. Well done!
The ceremony was followed by a well-deserved trip into the city for dinner, riding in two amazing stretch hummers.
We applaud the PRACE College class of 2018.
We are so very proud of all you have accomplished and wish you every success in the future.
