With such a visible and significant project close to our doorstep, we were delighted when the Keon Park Level Crossing Removal Project team approached us to engage with and inform us about the process to remove the level crossing and build a new station at Keon Park.
Many people in our Prace community and other groups who use the Merrilands Community Centre will be affected by the changes, so to have access to the team who are on the ground with the most up-to-date information was fantastic.
The stages of development and planned disruptions were explained with maps, photos and handouts. The provision of interpreters to ensure our English as an Additional Language (EAL) students were across the changes was greatly appreciated.
A beautiful morning tea was the cherry on top! We look forward to ongoing communication with the team as the project gears up.
Included in pictures are some digital renders of the proposed final project.
