Mernda English Conversation Class Excursion

Posted June 22, 2024

The Mernda English Conversation class enjoyed a wonderful morning out on June 13th. Our adventure began with a visit to the Mernda Library, where the friendly librarian gave us an insightful guided tour. The students eagerly asked questions, and those who were not yet members of the Yarra Plenty Regional Library signed up on the spot. Now, most of our students are ready to take full advantage of the library’s many activities and services.

Following the library tour, we strolled through the Mernda Village Centre. The previous week, we had examined photos and discussed the centre’s pros and cons in class, so this outing provided a great opportunity to expand on those conversations in real time.

We wrapped up our enjoyable morning at the Mernda Village Cafe, where the relaxed atmosphere was perfect for light chatter and meaningful discussions. Stepping out of the classroom allowed us to interact in new ways and get to know each other better.

Our first excursion of the year was filled with lots of conversation and laughter.
