Nadine joined the team at PRACE in early 2020 as our Student Support Worker. She plays a vital role in supporting students who are experiencing crisis, home and family issues or well-being challenges.
Nadine fell in love with PRACE when she visited PRACE College as part of her teaching degree.
“I met some of the VCAL staff and students and just knew that this was a safe place for individuals to learn and grow together” she explains.
Nadine completed a student placement in the Reconnect team prior to commencing her current role. She is inspired by the people she works with and watching their confidence and happiness grow.
“A simple smile in the hallways of PRACE from the students can brighten up my day” she tells us.
Meeting people who have come to Australia from all over the world to start a new chapter of their life, is one of Nadine’s favourite parts of the role.
“Everyone has a story at PRACE and I think that’s what makes it such a special place” says Nadine.
Nadine is pleasantly surprised by the care and dedication shown by our staff and students.
“PRACE is a community filled with so much kindness and empathy. Everyone is always willing to lend a helping hand” she says.
