Seeking – Education Support Trainer

Prace is seeking a trainer to teach the Certificate III in School Based Education Support, Tuesdays 

You will be part of a dynamic team passionate about helping adult learners to achieve their goals through education. The role requires a dedicated professional to teach, assess and support students to achieve this qualification. 

As we continue to grow and expand, there may be opportunities for this role to expand.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Relevant industry experience in the Education Support sector – supporting school age children. Preferably: Primary, Secondary or Special Needs Schools (mandatory)
  • Qualifications / current skills & knowledge demonstrating competency in the units contained within the Certificate III in Education Support qualification (CHC30213) (mandatory)
  • Certificate IV in Training & Assessment TAE40116 or successor; or TAE40110 plus (or including) TAELLN401A / TAELLN411 and TAEASS502 / A / B. (mandatory)
  • Teaching Degree or Graduate Diploma of Education (desirable)

Selection Criteria

  1. Relevant qualification/s and experience

    • Qualifications / current skills & knowledge demonstrating competency in the units contained within the Certificate III in School Based Education Support qualification (CHC30221) or successor
    • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment TAE40116 or successor; or TAE40110 plus (or including) TAELLN401A / TAELLN411 and TAEASS502 / A / B.
    • Teaching Degree or Graduate Diploma of Education (desirable)
  2. Demonstrated understanding of how students learn and effective classroom teaching strategies
  3. Ability to use relevant computer applications such as Google Apps, Microsoft Office Apps, and video conferencing software
  4. Excellent organisational skills
  5. Highly developed interpersonal skills
     

As part of Prace’s recruitment and selection process, applicants will be required to undergo a pre-employment safety screening process. Successful appointment to a position will be subject to, but not limited to, the following checks: National Police Check, Victorian Employee Working with Children Check, current and valid Driver’s Licence. All costs associated with safety screening will be at the applicant’s expense.
