Meet Jasper

With our next course fast approaching, we caught up with one of our recent graduates to find out how they’re doing since completing our Employability Skills Civil Construction Labourer program. Here’s what Jasper had to say about his experience with Prace.

I found the course very interesting and I enjoyed it a lot. I gained so much knowledge which helped to be work ready. The course covered various topics which was awesome. Health and safety awareness was a very important topic, this being the number one priority for me when working in this industry. We also touched on all the various roles within the civil construction industry, which has given me a wider perspective. This has enabled me to start setting realistic goals for myself.

A job opportunity at Winslow Constructors came about through their partnership with Prace. I now have a casual contract with Winslow Constructors and hope that this will turn into a permanent role. I am part of a team that builds, installs and maintains electrical systems and equipment. The role is challenging, and I am learning new things every day.

I highly recommend Prace if you are looking into gaining employability skills. I gained the knowledge, skills and confidence to enter the workforce, and was supported by Prace 100% of the way. The trainer and staff are very friendly and helpful.

My dream job is to become a civil engineer and I am now on my way to reaching my ultimate goal.
